Adopt-A-Project Testimony:

Kathy’s Story

In April, Hammer & Nails received a request for a front porch replacement. A few months later, God provided as He always does, and Fred Olivieri Construction Company committed to adopting this project, funding 100% of the materials and providing teams of volunteers to help with the labor.

Darrin Noble, our Project Manager, said, “On the day of the project completion, Kathy, myself, and the foreman from Fred Olivieri stood on the front porch and prayed together. Each one of us thanked Jesus Christ for the answered prayer. As I pulled away that day, Kathy was sweeping her new porch singing praises to God.”

Hammer & Nails could not have completed this project without Fred Olivieri’s incredible help. This is what we’re all about at Hammer & Nails: neighbors helping neighbors and fixing houses in order to change peoples’ lives. Check out Kathy’s Story and visit our Adopt-A-Project page for more information on how to get involved with helping on a project like Kathy’s.

How did we get our start?

With this ramp, I’ll be able to take my wife out of the house to get her hair done. I was worried to take her down stairs before, but now I won’t have to worry about that! God bless you all and I thank you for your work.

Fixing Houses,

Changing Lives.

Hammer & Nails is dedicated to improving the quality of life for disadvantaged homeowners through assistance with home and property improvements. We are passionate about helping our neighbors in Stark County by providing assistance with property repairs, maintenance, and wheel chair ramps. The work we do, however, goes beyond just fixing houses—we get to see stories of impact; how a wheel chair ramp makes an individual’s life better by simply improving accessibility into their home, or how much it means for a homeowner to have a new coat of paint on the exterior of their home. The work is important and the need is great. You can help Hammer & Nails as we engage in our mission to truly change homeowners’ lives.
