Hammer & Nails welcomes our church communities to join efforts to bring Stark County homeowners closer to God’s kingdom. Please review the opportunities to participate with us in our mission to improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need by demonstrating God’s love through home repairs.
PRAY: We ask for blessings upon the homeowners, their loved ones, and our communities. May they feel the love of God through the kindness and hard work of the Hammer & Nails team and volunteers. We also pray for the continued provision of resources to support this ministry.
VOLUNTEER: As believers, we are called to care for the “least of these.” It is a joyful and powerful experience to transform a home and impact someone’s life for Christ. Everyone, regardless of their skill level, is welcome to join the home repair projects. These projects may include tasks like building a wheelchair ramp, doing carpentry work, painting, landscaping, and sharing your life with our homeowners. We assure you that you will leave feeling enriched and blessed.
DONATE: By making financial contributions on a one-time or monthly basis, you and your contributions provide sustainable and enduring results for our clients. You can support our Adopt-A-Project initiative or contribute to the wooden cross appeal, which encourages gifts of $100 or more. A wooden cross will be placed in the yard of a Hammer & Nails homeowner, symbolizing your generous gift.
YOUTH PROGRAMS: Youth groups and organizations focused on young people are encouraged to learn about the impact of Hammer & Nails on the most vulnerable members of our community. Fundraising challenges and collection drives are an excellent way to start giving back at an early age.
ADVOCATE: Invite the Hammer & Nails Ministry to share the importance of home repair services for elderly and disabled members of your faith community, enabling them to live safely in their homes as they age. Utilize your connections to facilitate conversations that may lead to additional resources to support the ongoing efforts of Hammer & Nails in enhancing the lives of Stark County homeowners, increasing their property values, and improving neighborhoods.
IN-KIND GOODS & SERVICES: We are grateful for donations of project materials, such as new or used wheelchair ramps, tools, hardware, lumber, doors, and windows. Additionally, we also welcome gift cards to hardware stores. If you have a product or service that could aid in our mission, we would appreciate the chance to discuss it with you.
ADOPT-A-HOMEOWNER: A considerable number of our homeowners wish to establish a stronger relationship with a
faith community. However, due to constraints, they are unable to travel to and from a church or support group. We aim to help these individuals by connecting them with congregations that offer bus services.
Thank you for taking the time to review the different ways that faith partners can support the Hammer & Nails ministry. If you would like to know more about any of these opportunities indicate your interest below and one of our staff members will reach out to you promptly.
