Gary Dressler's Story

What initially drew you to become involved with H&N?

A good friend of mine was on the Board of Hammer & Nails and thought I would be a good addition to the Board.  I did some inquiring and found out I knew two people who I highly respected was already on the board and I knew I wanted to be a part of what they were doing.  I served two three-year very satisfying terms on the board.

In what ways have you seen H&N positively impact the community?

One of the fund raisers for Hammer & Nails is an annual golf outing in July.  I was a member of the golf outing committee, and I enjoyed watching the outing grow over the years from maybe 15 teams to being sold out to the maximum this year.  It is good to see the communities rallying around this event. I'm still sponsoring a team of my grandsons and their buddies every year.

What inspired you to continue supporting H&N over the years?

After serving six years on the board and seeing how they are fixing houses and changing lives I wanted to continue supporting the good work of Hammer & Nails.
